Specialists in MediDynamic PhysioTherapeutics and Interventional Dry Needling
Dr. Patrick Bray is the Founder and President of Bluegrass Doctors of Physical Therapy. He founded this company with a radical different vision for physical therapy care. Thinking outside the box is what has allowed him to help many patients from a wide variety of backgrounds overcome their physical challenges. He believes that everyone should have an individual treatment protocol regardless of diagnosis and has implemented this philosophy successfully across multiple disciplines. He attended the University of Louisville for his undergraduate studies and received his Bachelors in Exercise Physiology. He then subsequently went on to achieve his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Wheeling Jesuit University.
Dr. Bray holds Certifications in Manual Therapy (Cert-SMT), Dry Needling (CMTPT), Personal Training (NSCA-CPT), and is a fellow member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). Dr Bray is also a certified APTA Advanced Credentialed Clinical Instructor (Adv CI). He is trained in advanced Craniofacial and TMJ techniques through the Craniofacial Therapy Academy (CRAFTA). He was one of the first practitioners to bring manipulative therapy and dry needling to a major hospital system in the Louisville, KY area. He has contributed to several journals with case reports/periodicals on chronic myofascial pain and is recognized as a distinguished peer reviewer for multiple journals on manipulative therapeutics, dry needling, and chronic pain. He was nominated for the Hall Render Leadership in Healthcare Award for 2016. He has also been recognized by Expertise as one of the Top 16 Physical Therapy Providers multiple years in a row (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021). Dr. Bray provides patients with the latest manipulative therapy, laser therapy, and dry needling techniques to help alleviate muscle, joint, and nerve pain.
